UPDATE

We apologize, but as of Nov 13, 2007 the QRCodeCF Library has been temporarily removed due to licensing issues.  Since our original work was derived from a GPL library, it also inherits the GPL.

We at OpenNETCF feel that the libraries we provide, either commercially or as free libraries, should be usable in proprietary commecial systems and in our view the GPL works contrary to that, so rather than continuing to offer QRCodeCF as it was, we've pulled it and will be rewriting it from the ground up so it can be released under the much friendlier MIT X11 license.

Again we apologize, but we'd rather not have anyone mistakenly use GPL code in their product and then end up getting in trouble with the FSF.  We hope to have the rewrite done by the end of December.  If you'd like to volunteer your time and services to get it done faster, then contact us.

OpenNETCF QRCode Library for .NET Compact Framework

The OpenNETCF QRCode Library is a .NET Compact Framework component that allows developers to decode QRCode images on a Windows Mobile or Windows CE device.

After reading about Windows Live Barcode (which doesn't seem to be available anymore) OpenNETCF decided to port an existing Java implementation  to C# specifically for .NET Compact Framework.

NOTE: Currently QRCodeCF is fully functioning as a decoder but there is no encoder implemented.  To generate a QR Code see the Kaywa website

You can download the latest stable release of the OpenNETCF QRCode Library for .NET Compact Framework source and samples from here (currently not available).

OpenNETCF QRCodeCF is released under the MIT X11 license.  OpenNETCF QRCode Library requires Smart Device Framework 2.1 (Community Edition or Extensions for Visual Studio).
